Lori Modde named finalist for Western Sydney Women Awards 2025

Lori Modde, Managing Director of Lorick Management and CEO of Outdoors NSW & ACT, a champion for economic and community development, has been named a finalist in the 2025 Western Sydney Women Awards – Western Sydney Woman in Leadership category.

4 August 2025 – From Western Sydney to Outback NSW, Lori Modde has been a driving force behind regional growth, economic development, and the empowerment of women across multiple sectors. As CEO of Outdoors NSW & ACT, Chair of the new charity WSYD Moving and co-founder of the newly formed NSW Tourism Association, Lori has dedicated over 30 years to community development, tourism, recreation and industry advocacy – making her a standout finalist in the Leadership category of this year’s Western Sydney Women Awards.

The Western Sydney Woman in Leadership category celebrates women who drive real results and influence in their field – something Lori Modde has done consistently through her tireless advocacy for outdoor education, regional tourism, industry collaboration, and leadership pathways for women. Her efforts in launching the outdoor women’s development program Pinnacle Leadership Program, reviving and launching the NSW Tourism Association, and leading Outdoors NSW & ACT through major policy shifts have earned her the respect of peers and stakeholders across the country.

“I was incredibly honoured – and honestly quite emotional – to be named a finalist among such incredible women,” said Modde. “Much of my career has been about elevating others, whether that’s a young woman stepping into outdoor leadership for the first time, a small business trying to find their way in the industry, or a sector that needs a voice at the table. This nomination feels like a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come together.”

“I admire every finalist in this category. To be recognised alongside such trailblazers in Western Sydney is not only humbling, it’s energising. I’m looking forward to celebrating the collective impact we’re all having on the future of our region.”

Amanda Rose, founder of Western Sydney Women, said:“The passion and drive of Western Sydney women never ceases to amaze me,” she said. “The recognition they’re receiving is wholly deserved, and I’m filled with gratitude towards our sponsors who share this sentiment and have made it possible to celebrate their accomplishments.”

“Every year the bar is set higher with our awe-inspiring nominees. From the very beginning we’ve been honoured to showcase the remarkable talent that exists in our region. This year’s list of finalists carries on that proud tradition.”

Finalists will be celebrated at Western Sydney Women’s Future of Women in Western Sydney Summit on 4th September 2025 at the Hudson Hotel & Events Centre. The summit brings together key stakeholders from government, community and business to honour the region’s brightest changemakers.
